Our Values

We ‘value’ your contribution to RAC’s journey of excellence, where we are is because of our combined efforts.

What’s value?

Values set the direction in a person’s life. These time-tested values will help us chart the right direction not only at our work but also in our personal lives.

According to Chris Berry,
“Values are discovering what I believe, what I am willing to fight for & what is important to me.”

Organizational Values reflect the kind of ‘home’ for its employees.
We spend the largest span of our lives in the organization & create happiness for our families.

  • Excellence

  • Passion

  • Fairness

  • Transparency

  • Customer first

(A) Integrity (नैतिकता)
  • Honesty

  • Adherence to moral & ethical principles

  • Soundness of moral character

Integrity is working with full commitment to forward the team. We ALL are paid for the work that we do, not for the time that we spend here.

Actions to synchronize
  • We are Honest, Open and fair with each other.

  • We question actions inconsistent with RAC values & get them in sync with RAC values.

  • We use company’s property and information for Business (RAC) requirement only and not for personal gain.

Advantages
  • Integrity is the foundation.

  • Stronger foundation carry the expansion’s load.

Please Remember…
  • Integrity is about the future. Don’t cling to the past that is not encouraging, the bitterness & the guilt.

  • Generate openness, embrace the change & move ahead.

(B) Participative Decision Making
  • Better quality of decision,
    better resources,
    better implementation,
    better outcomes.
Actions to synchronise
  • Provide an opportunity to share their opinion/view
  • Respect the views of others
  • Focus & stick to the objective
  • It’s OK to agree to disagree
  • Once the decision is made, make the decision win.
Advantages
  • It’s a consultative process
  • Deadlines are respected
  • We get various perspectives
  • Contribution of each one
Please Remember
  • View/opinion & decision are very different
  • It’s challenging but fulfilling
  • We make required tough decision
(C) Excellence
  • The state or quality of being exceptionally good; Extreme merit & then transforming that state or quality in an action, characteristic, feature etc.

Actions to synchronize
  • We demonstrate consistently strong performance and inspire others with our thirst for excellence.

  • We share best practices ourselves & share them with ours.

  • We are willing to learn & elevate our skill sets.

  • We help others & receive help from others.

  • We respect feedback & encourage a ‘feedback’ environment.

Advantages
  • Excellence keeps us ahead of all the competitors.

(D) Passion
  • A limitless enthusiasm

  • It’s a drive for fulfilment

Actions to synchronise
  • We continuously challenge current assumptions, suggest better approaches & strive for their implementation.

  • We are clear that there is always a scope for improvement & work accordingly. Work with enthusiasm & joy.

  • We request for help / support / resources if we feel upset / down.

  • We create an environment of fulfilment & no gossip.

Advantages
  • Passion allows us to be consistent without deviation and that enthusiasm delights the customers. Perseverance at work.

  • Updated job knowledge.

  • Skillful application of knowledge & continuous improvement to provide best quality.

  • Utilization of resources without wastage & leakage.

  • Motive – Affirmative & noble.

  • Work as per S.O.P (Standard Operating Procedures) with safety for self and others.

Discipline
  • Please remember, in our culture disciplinary actions are not ‘liked’. But, disciplinary actions are against the behavior & not against a particular person.

Organize your life such that discipline is encouraged. Inconsistent behavior is punished, not the people. Ultimately, discipline is doing what you know to do and doing what is right. Fairness exists in that environment. Ultimately, growth (personal & professional both) is a function of the investment of time & conversation. That’s where excellence is nurtured.

(E) FAIRNESS
  • Free from bias or injustice; even-handedness.

Actions to synchronize
  • We treat people with respect, independent of their status or disagreement with us.

  • We are here to help team colleagues and not to compete with one another.

Advantages
  • I request you not to compare yourself, your work, your approach, your style with others. It is being unfair to you. You do not know others as much as you know you. How is that comparison possible? Otherwise, it will create painful experience. (Focus will always be outside… money, luxury, result… are excellent examples)

  • When you are with your family members, friends, other employees at work, our customers or even the third party, you will treat each one of them with fairness (No difference, no discrimination – at all).

(F) Transparency

Characterized by visibility or accessibility of information especially concerning business practices. Free from pretense or deceit.

Actions to synchronize
  • We are known for our candor approach and directness.

  • We are quick to admit mistakes.

  • We only say things about fellow employees which we will say straight to them.

  • Be particular about deadlines. (If not provided, ask for it)

  • If you are not able to manage time, take support of all the available resources. (Be in full communication)

  • Even after all these efforts, if you cannot manage… please convey it frankly & openly with your seniors & people concerned. (Complete the loop)

Straight Approach

  • If you have any idea, suggestion, problem, issue, please approach your manager/concerned family member. Sharing with any other person, who is not a party to it, actually complicates the communication. Approaching straight elevates confidence — or else it’s gossip & it hampers your impression & self-image.

(G) Customer First
  • RAC puts the customer at the center of organisational decision making instead of purely focusing on products or services.

Action to Synchronise
  • Consistently deliver customer delight.

  • Always being available to answer customer queries & solve their problems.

  • In awkward situations, take support of colleagues to ensure that every customer interaction is positive.

Advantages
  • We are regarded & preferred by our customers.

  • We are equally delighted by delighting the customers.

  • Smooth & respectful conversations all around RAC.
